What ManawaTech Students can do for you

Being part of our community will put you in touch with the right people to help you with...

• Mentoring: Get advice on any aspect of your career from pathways to tools and projects.
• Help with your CV: Get a pro to look over your C.V. and give you expert advice to land a job.
• Internship guidance: Find out how to go about getting an internship - what to do and who to speak to.
• Jobs: Join the ManawaTech Slack and be there to catch the jobs before they're even advertised! Or post your CV on the database to let employers know you're available to work.
• Peer support: Being part of a community of people in the same stage of their career can help you through the bumps and celebrate the wins!
• Learning opportunities: Events and opportuntities to learn are posted regularly on our Discord. Share anything you find with the team.
• Networking: Attending events and talking to the ManawaTech community can open doors for you. It puts a face to your name, which is crucial for standing out of the crowd when applying for jobs.

The Student community is here to support you in your journey to become the the best techie you can be! All tertiary students welcome! If you're not in the Manawatu, you can still join us and reap the benefits of online learning events and community support.

Claire and Matt are both Bachelor of Information Science students at Massey. Claire is interested in all things software development and Matt is looking forward to a career in cyber security.

We are looking for Institutional reps. So, if you are a tertiary student and want to help share what's available at your institution, apply by emailing us your CV and a cover letter saying why you want the role and a little bit about yourself.
