Desktop Support

Technically savvy and keen to support future-focused learning, you will be the face of New Era as you provide technical support for our customers. Working as part of the school community and engaging with all levels of users from students and teachers to ICT Managers, the ability to communication with non-technical people is a must. Key to this role is ensuring the smooth running of school ICT infrastructure including printers, projectors, SMART Boards and will be in charge of maintaining and troubleshooting issues with firewalls, servers and networks.

Be a team player
Excellent communication and relationship skills
An understanding of the New Zealand education system
Completed relevant certification to demonstrate you are up to date with new technology trends and changes
Proven ability to meet assigned targets and be organised
New Zealand Restricted or Full Drivers License
Are Fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus
Desirable but not essential:
Practical technical knowledge in supporting and implementing:
- Windows 10
- Windows Server 2012-2019
- Firewalls (Fortigate)
- Switching (Ruckus, HP, Allied Telesis)
- Wireless (Ruckus, Aruba/HP, Aerohive)
- Printers/Copiers
