Meetups

Meetups

Local meetups cover a wide range of specialised interests in the local tech industry. Some meet monthly, some are quarterly, some are a little more relaxed (but still worth joining). Meeting with others is a great way to pick up new skills, find help with tricky problems, and meet interesting people. Networking is a great way to find a job, because many are not listed publicly.

All the local meetups we know about are listed below, with their next event and contact details. Most are run by volunteers, so if you have a bit of spare time please step up and offer to help.

Meet for breakfast 7:30am on the second Thursday of the month to share ideas / resources with your peers, discuss challenges, form a network of people you can call on for a bit of advice. This is also an IT Professionals meetup: a number of regulars are ITP members. Attendance is free (but pay for your own breakfast). Anyone can come: you do not have to be an ITP member.(This group was called "Senior IT Managers", but its really for anyone who has been around the block a few dozen times, got some deep experience to share, responsible for a few people or a few projects or a decent budget)

Manawatū Microsoft 365 Meetup

**We are re-establishing our Manawatū Microsoft 365 Meet-Up group back together.** It’s going to be the same, same, but a little different. It’s been a while since this group has been together in-person, so I’ve asked Hine Bishara to join me as my co-pilot for these events – which will be Online. We are planning on getting together online, roughly every six weeks. The Manawatū Microsoft 365 User Group is designed to help the local M365 community come together and discuss topical M365 themes and gain insight as to how others are using and innovating on the platform.  There will be presentations on anything related to SharePoint, Office 365, and other Microsoft Technologies. It is for anyone who uses these tools – customers, companies, providers, students and is free to attend. **Cheers** Dan Sanders (Organiser)
