Head of Business Systems
We have created this new role to lead the delivery of the core business services used by the university – managing the information and data at the heart of all we do. The Head of Business Systems will be a key member of our IT Services leadership team, and our CIO is looking to build a talented, energetic and enthusiastic leadership culture for this important next phase of the University’s journey.
This is a full-time position and while the team is based on our Palmerston North campus, the role could be based at our Wellington campus.
The role will include:
Leadership of multiple teams with responsibility for user requirements, applications engineering, data & integration, and information & records management.
Leadership of multiple practice areas with responsibility for: business intelligence, data analytics, system integration, enterprise systems, move to enterprise applications, business process and automation, solutions and vendor management.
Advising the CIO on information/data management and application management practices and providing input into the business solution strategy.
Accountability for the functionality, quality and performance of the University’s Business Systems, ensuring these are aligned to the current and future needs of the University.
Actively contributing to the management and leadership of IT Services, providing a strong support to the CIO in strategic implementation, developing culture and ensuring strong governance practices.
