Head of Planning & Delivery

The Head of Planning & Delivery leads the planning and oversees delivery of all capital works for the Information Technology Services department (‘ITS’).

What You Will Do :
Developing and applying a management framework to define and deliver a portfolio of programmes, projects and/or ongoing services.
Providing support and guidance on portfolio, programme and project management processes, procedures, tools and techniques.
Estimating the demand for people and skills and planning the supply needed to meet that demand.
Assessing the attractiveness of possible investments or projects.
Ensuring methods and tools are adopted and used effectively throughout the organisation.
Influencing stakeholder attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit.

Who You Are :
A tertiary qualification in an IT or business management subject, or equivalent extensive industry experince.
Industry recognised certification in Project Management, Programme Management, Portfolio Management, and/or P3M at a practitioner or manager level.
Experience in senior leadership roles.
Minimum 10 years’ experience.

Head of Business Systems

The Head of Business Systems leads the delivery of the core application services consumed by the University.

What You Will Do :
Plan, estimate and execute systems development work to time, budget and quality targets.
Establish and deploy an environment for developing, continually improving, and securely operating software and systems products and services.
Provide authoritative advice and direction in a specialist area.
Produce design concepts and prototypes for user interactions with and experiences of a product, system or service.
Define, evaluate and describe business change options for financial, technical and business feasibility, and strategic alignment.
Apply the processes, systems and functions required to make new and changed services and features available for use.

Head of Service Experience

The Head of Service Experience leads Information Technology Services department (‘ITS’) key service interactions with the University.

What You Will Do :
Influence stakeholder attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit.
Manage and operate customer service or service desk functions.
Analyse and proactively manage business demand for new services or modifications to existing service features or volumes.
Agree targets for service levels and assess, monitor, and manage the delivery of services against the targets.
Provide a source of consistent information about available services and products to customers and users.
Create new and potentially disruptive approaches to performing business activities.
Assess risks associated with proposed changes and ensuring changes to products, services or systems are controlled and coordinated.
Manage the process to obtain formal confirmation that service acceptance criteria have been met.

Head of Technology

The Head of Technology leads the delivery of the core technology services that underpin all IT and digital services consumed by the University’s staff and students.

What You Will Do :
Manage the provision of technology-based services to meet defined organisational needs.
Coordinate information and technology strategies where the adoption of a common approach would benefit the organisation.
Provide authoritative advice and direction in a specialist area.
Identify and assess new and emerging technologies, products, services, methods and techniques.
Align an organisations technology strategy with its business mission, strategy, and processes and documenting this using architectural models.
Influence stakeholder attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit.
Improve organisational performance by developing the performance of individuals and workgroups to meet agreed objectives with measurable results.

You will have the following skills, expertise, and experience:
A tertiary qualification in an IT or business management subject, or equivalent extensive industry experience.
Industry certification in IT Service Management at a practitioner or manager level.
Recent experience in senior leadership roles within an IT department.
Minimum 12 years’ experience

Senior Analyst - Software Asset Management

The position will be responsible for the operational oversight and lifecycle management of software licenses and agreements for ICT services. The purpose of this role is to ensure all University ICT agreements and the products and services they deliver are managed appropriately and in such a way that assures compliance and performance, meets service requirements, and are cost effective.

You will be dealing with a large set of ICT licenses and agreements that are often technically complex; can involve significant costs and risks; are part of a highly competitive marketplace; often have high audit and compliance overheads; and deliver goods and services which continually change. Your business analysis, attention to detail and understanding of compliance will be required every day.

You will bring:
Qualification - Tertiary level degree in IT or Business is desirable.
At least 5 years work experience in an analyst or IT support role within a large or complex organisation.
Business systems analysis skills together with a high level of computer/ICT literacy.
Experience or familiarity with legal documents.
Demonstrated proficiency in developing and maintaining procedures and practices.
A keen eye for detail and the ability to translate data into high level, meaningful and succinct summaries.
Solid Spreadsheet modelling and data analysis expertise.
A proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders, management, and peers.
